Guys I have found the greatest bait. It is called "Black Salty Baitfish" I recently received several dozen of the Inshore size (small) and Offshore size (large) Black Salty baitfish. I was very impressed with the overnight delivery and the packaging. The bait was in oxygen filled bags, inside a lined, padded and insulated box with a freezer pack to keep the baitfish cool. I’ve never seen baitfish so well packaged. The water the bait was in, was still very clean and clear. You had to be careful netting the bait out of the plastic bags to put in the bait tank, because they were so frisky. I wasn’t able to go out for a few days, so I kept the Black Salty’s in my bait tank. To my surprise, the water stayed clear and even though I fed them some Goldfish flakes once during that time. The Black Salty’s are very clean baitfish to keep compared to Shad. You don’t really even need a filter on your bait tank to keep the Black Salty’s several days. The other thing I noticed after several days was that there was not the stink you get with Shad. There is not the problem with the scales like you have keeping Shad in your bait tank. The Black Salty was just as frisky after several days or maybe more than when they arrived. When I went out fishing with the Black Salty baitfish, you could tell how lively they were by how the rod tip was bouncing. I set one out on a balloon and the Black Salty took off like he had come out of a starting gate. The bait was a hundred yards from the boat in just a few seconds and I had to set the reel and put a stop to the run. Sometimes it’s hard to get Shad to leave the shadow of the boat when you put them out on a float or balloon. Frisky may be too mild a term for the Black Salty, they are as lively and powerful a baitfish as I’ve ever seen, but not delicate like Shad. Every time you touch a Shad, it looses a bunch of scales and the scales seem to stick to everything. I think one of the best things about the Black Salty Baitfish is you don’t have to spend hours throwing a cast net only to have the Shad die on you before you get out fishing the next day. You just call and order the Black Salty for the day before you go out to fish and you have all the bait you need without the work. Go check out the site of the Black Salty Baitfish.
